A Little About Me:

Paul Klomhaus

My aviation journey began in the fall of 91. I was attending Concordia University Wisconsin for a business major when I discovered the school offered an aviation program. Knowing really nothing about aviation other than I thought it was cool and I could go fast, I thought what the heck, might as well learn. It took about three lessons and I was hooked. The feelings of freedom and opening my range to go to new places was exhilarating. From there I continued adding ratings and licenses and became an instructor in '92. For those that have been around aviation you may remember pilots were plentiful and jobs were few. I picked around teaching here and there while my main business was building and remodeling. In the late summer of '98 I had just enough time and decided to get serious about flying for a living. I found a freight company and wound up in a Cessna 208 Caravan and a Fairchild Metroliner. From there I moved to a few different airlines and eventually wound up at good ole Air Wisconsin flying the BAe-146. For family reasons I left them in '05 and returned to instructing and building. In '10 we moved to northwest Wisconsin and joined up with Cirrus aircraft. There I delivered and taught customers and instructors to become proficient in their Cirrus. In '15 the pilot hiring frenzy was just getting going and joined with SkyWest flying the CRJ’s and then to ABX flying DHL freight in the B767.

Somewhere in this crazy journey I have flown over 60 different airplanes in 49 states, minus Hawaii, Canada, Asia, Europe, South America and the Caribbean.

I enjoy teaching and evaluating and my business is to offer full time DPE services. I desire to assist pilots with their passions whether they want to fly for personal reasons or become a professional pilot.
